I have heard that VFMF screeners cut the top off VFMF to reduce the volatility. If this is correct, I am not thrilled about the amount they cut. I have considered this multi factor fund before and have not been so certain of its worth in my portfolio, but it could be for others. It’s good you covered it, and I it definitely has a role. I think I noticed it corrected from the 2020 or 2022 drawdown quite fast. Any information that you have about the screening process would be valuable.
I really like an associated factor etf called VFMO their momentum fund. It is quite different from most other momentum funds which are mostly large cap based, and the fees are quite reasonable.
If it involves fiat money - it will be worthless, it is just a matter of time.
