Still positive overall, but I think investor return expectations are getting a little optimistic. It's a covered call ETF after all and those tend to underperform the index long-term. The yield is great from a pure income perspective, but I think investors need to know what they're buying too.
Well said. I keep looking at closed end funds for monthly income. But the draw-downs and debt on these bad boys are ridiculous. So, I always go back to JEPI. And now I'm looking at JEPQ for pure income--not capital appreciation. Regards, Eric.
I've never invested in a CEF in my life and I have no intentions of ever doing so. If there's ever an investment that you really need to dig into and understand before you invest, CEFs are it. So many stumbling blocks with those things.
