Hope this isn’t too far off topic. Warren Pies has a new concentrated FCTE ETF. High expense ratio (85 bps!) but starts with like 100 quality screened stocks and then culls to 20 equal weight using a momentum screen, and rebalances monthly to keep it fresh. It kind of reminds me of COWZ but I’m not sure why. I prefer 100 stocks for diversification, but he starts with 100 and just puts 5% in each of the 20 that are trending up the best, or something like that. What’s your take on it?
I'm familiar with the fund, but admittedly haven't looked at it in any depth. If it's more of a pure momentum strategy, I doubt it has much in common with COWZ, but I'd have to learn more about his fund first. He's a smart guy, so I hope this is successful!
